Pan­thers field hockey fall to Huskies in re­gion fi­nal re­match

Per­ryville fell to host Pat­ter­son Mill 3-1 in Ch­e­sa­peake Di­vi­sion field hockey ac­tion on Mon­day.

The con­test marked the first meet­ing be­tween the two teams since last post­sea­son, when the Pan­thers lost to the Huskies in over­time, 1-0, in the 1A North Re­gion Fi­nal.

On Mon­day, Ash­ley Meekins scored off an as­sist from Aubrey Hill, who col­lected the ball off a pass from Alysa Con­way for the Pan­thers (3-4 over­all, 0-2 di­vi­sion), who were tied 1-1 at half­time.

Morgan Egan, Elise Alders and Ju­lia Frankis all scored for the Huskies (2-4, 2-1).

Fall­ston 7, Ris­ing Sun 0

The Tigers fall to 2-3 over­all and 0-2 in the Ch­e­sa­peake Di­vi­sion.

The Cougars im­prove to 6-1 over­all and 3-0 in the up­per di­vi­sion.

UCBAC Boys’ Soc­cer Elkton 8, Jop­pa­towne 2

Jake Bosler led the Golden Elks with four goals and an as­sist. Justin Gu­tier­rez scored a pair of goals, Serebe Ka­jube recorded a goal and two as­sists, Furkan Ogdemir scored once, Dy­lan Shay recorded a pair of as­sists and Philip Glock­ner added an as­sist. Goalie Ja­cob Buskell made four saves for Elkton (5-0, 1-0 Susque­hanna).

The Mariners drop to 2-2-1 over­all and 0-1 in the lower di­vi­sion.

Per­ryville 3, Bo­hemia Manor 2 (OT)

Kevin Makach scored the game-win­ning goal for the Pan­thers in over­time off of an as­sist from Jar­rett Bow­man. Kyle Whit­ney and Jon Ha­mam­cioglu each scored once and Do­minic Mus­cella recorded an as­sist. Trevor Prevost made eight saves in net for Per­ryville (2-3 over­all, 1-0 Susque­hanna).

Robby Mes­sick and Alex Ru­bio scored for the Ea­gles (2-3, 0-1) and goalie Matt Lynn made seven saves.

Har­ford Tech 2, North East 0

The In­di­ans 1 over­all and Susque­hanna.

The Co­bras im­prove to 2-1-1 over­all and 1-0 in the lower di­vi­sion.

Ally Jen­nings ( four aces) and Kierra Bar­rett ( three blocks, two aces) both had 10 kills and Kylie Shi­flett ( two as­sists, one ace) added three kills, while Michaella Pa­trick tal­lied 22 as­sists for the Sea­hawks ( 5- 4 over­all, 3- 2 MDJUCO), who won by set scores of 27- 25, 25- 13 and 25- 23.

Youth Soc­cer Ce­cil Kickers 2, AFC Avalanche 0

Erika Clarke and Sum­mer Davis both scored and Gabriella Pi­leggi and Lexi Bunk both dished out as­sists for the Kickers ( 21), who re­ceived five saves from Shadai Givens.

Ce­cil led 1- 0 at half­time.
