Labor Secretary visits college’s CDL training program

— As Maryland Secretary of Labor, Licensing and Registration Kelly Schulz finished up a discussion with some students in Cecil College’s Truck Driver Training Program, she had one last question.
“Should I tr y the simulator?” she asked the group of about a dozen students during her visit to the Elkton Station Campus on Monday afternoon.
The class responded enthusiastically and a few minutes later, Schulz found herself at the wheel of the college’s truck driving simulator. Housed in a small room on the third floor of the Elkton Station building, the simulator looks like a more authentic version of an arcade racing game with a steering wheel, dashboard, pedals and three video screens showing the front and side views.
