Ea­gles blank the Golden Elks, snap ri­val’s un­de­feated record


Bo­hemia Manor shut out host Elkton 1-0 in Susque­hanna Divi­sion boys’ soc­cer ac­tion on Mon­day, snap­ping the Elks’ un­de­feated sea­son.

Robby Mes­sick scored the lone goal off an as­sist from JP Collins for the Ea­gles (3-4 over­all, 1-2 divi­sion), who re­ceived five saves in net from Ser­vando Colorado.

The Elks fall to 6-1 over­all and 2-1 in the lower divi­sion.

UCBAC Girls’ Soc­cer

Bo­hemia Manor 1, Aberdeen 1

Katie O’Hare scored off an as­sist from Lexi Cook for Ce­cil County’s Ea­gles (4-2-1 over­all, 1-0-1 Susque­hanna).

Har­ford County’s Ea­gles move to 2-4-1 over­all and 1-01 in the lower divi­sion. Pri­vate School Vol­ley­ball Tri-State Chris­tian 3, New Covenant 0

Caro­line Ford had four kills and Tori Thomp­son added two kills, while Olivia Boas (five aces, two digs) and Aubree Smith (11 aces) both added one kill for the Cru­saders, who won by set scores of 25-13, 25-18 and 25-20.

Madi­son Bur­rows added three as­sists, two aces and one dig in the win.


UCBAC Field Hockey Elkton 3, Edge­wood 0

Vanessa Dunn scored twice and Erin DePaul added a goal on a penalty stroke for the Golden Elks (7-0 over­all, 4-0 Susque­hanna), who re­ceived one as­sist from Ni­cole Baldino and two saves from Fal­lon Katz.

The Rams fall to 3-3 over­all and 2-1 in the lower divi­sion.

Har­ford Tech 4, Bo Manor 3

Lu Bradley (as­sist), Cas­sidy Huf­ford and Reghan Dunn all found the back of the cage for the Ea­gles (2-5-1 over­all, 2-1-1 Susque­hanna).

The Co­bras im­prove to 3-5 over­all and 1-2 in the lower divi­sion.


Youth Soc­cer Ce­cil Kick­ers 4, SH/Glyn­don 1

Gabriella Pi­leggi recorded a hat trick for Ce­cil (4-1), which re­ceived a goal and an as­sist from Sum­mer Davis and a pair of helpers from Kylie Narvell.

Shadai Givens recorded four saves in the vic­tory for Ce­cil, which led 1-0 at half­time.
