Halloween celebrations Now that we’re in October, Halloween is officially fair game. On Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m. Perryville will host its annual party to celebrate this spookiest of holidays. It’s all going down at the old Rodgers Tavern, 259 Broad Street.
It’s slated as a family event, with a long list of activities including a costume contest, pumpkin patch, moon bounce, straw maze, music and more. There will also be kids games, vendors and light refreshments.

this weekend — there’s a few If you haven’t noticed, the air has become colder, the clothes heavier, the days shorter. Fall is upon us. Weather permitting, this weekend will feature a number of season-appropriate events.
There’s the apple butter making from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Fair Hill Race Track; the first-ever Hack’s Point Fire Co. Oktoberfest starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday; and the fall fest at Gifford’s Farm in Rising Sun from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
