Cecil County Football Capsules: Week 7
Bohemia Manor at Patterson Mill When: 7 tonight Last Meeting: Oct. 15, 2015 – Bohemia Manor won, 41-35
Outlook: One week after winning their first road game of the season, the Eagles will look to make it two straight.
Bohemia Manor did itself a ma- jor favor in its quest for a fifthstraight playoff berth a week ago when it held on to top county rival and fellow 1A contender Perryville (4-2 overall, 2-1 Susquehanna), 19-14.
This one could have the makings of a trap game for the Eagles, who have won two straight divisional games following a loss to Rising Sun. The Huskies (1-5, 1-2) will be hungry for an upset.
Rising Sun at Joppatowne When: 7 tonight Last Meeting: Oct. 15, 2015 – Rising Sun won, 41-14
Outlook: The Tigers have won two of their last three games, including a one-score loss to No. 2 Elkton. Rising Sun (2-4 overall, 2-1 Susquehanna) could be on the same path as last year, which ended with six wins — a drastic improvement from a winless campaign the season before.
The key for the Tigers will be to get off to a faster start. They fell behind 14-0 a week ago to North East and trailed 28-14 at halftime. Rising Sun doesn’t want to rely on a second-half surge each week.
Harford Tech at North East When: 7 tonight
Last Meeting: Oct. 15, 2015 – Harford Tech won, 36-28
Outlook: The Indians are looking to avoid losing a 20th-straight game when they host the Cobras.
North East (0-6 overall, 0-3 Susquehanna) put on a strong bid for the upset a week ago at Rising Sun, but was unable to score any points after halftime.
Harford Tech (2-4, 0-3) enters as the losers of three straight.
