How­ell Ray “Buddy” Ste­wart, 83, of Per­ryville, MD, passed away on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 16, 2016. Buddy was born on April 13, 1933 in Hanceville, AL, to the late Lon­nie Wi l b u r n Ste­wart and Tera Lee (An­der­son) Ste­wart.

Buddy was a proud mem­ber of Not­ting­ham Mis­sion­ary Bap­tist Church since 1983. He had a life­long career in heat­ing and air con­di­tion­ing and owned three dif­fer­ent heat­ing and air con­di­tion­ing com­pa­nies through­out his life­time un­til his re­tire­ment.

He loved gospel mu­sic, camp­ing, and dogs, es­pe­cially Dachshunds. Buddy loved, and was es­pe­cially proud, of his won­der­ful fam­ily and cher­ished his grand­chil­dren and great-grand­chil­dren.

Buddy is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife of 64 years, Au­drey Na­dine Ste­wart; his chil­dren: Debbie Jack­son and her hus­band, Jimmy; Ch­eryl Zueger and her hus­band, Mark; Stephen Ste­wart and his wife, Brenda; Mark Ste­wart and his wife, Sherri; Jan­ice Jones and her hus­band, Michael; Matthew Ste­wart and his wife, Alice; 17 grand­chil­dren; 25 great-grand­chil­dren; and his brother, Arvel Ste­wart.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Buddy was pre­ceded in death by his son, Robert James Ste­wart; brother, Roy Ste­wart; and his sis­ter, Edith Tillery.

A vis­i­ta­tion will be held on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 18, be­tween 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Not­ting­ham Mis­sion­ary Bap­tist Church, 303 W. Chris­tine Road, Not­ting­ham, PA 19362. Fu­neral ser­vices will be held on Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 19 at 11 a.m. Fam­ily and friends may be­gin vis­it­ing at 10 a.m.
