John Has­son “Jack” Ter­rell

John Has­son “Jack” Ter­rell, 83, passed away on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 25, 2016. He was born April 7, 1933 in C h e s t e r, PA, to the late Wil­liam H. Ter­rell and Josephine Leone (Rode­baugh) Ter­rell.

Jack proudly served in the United States Air Force dur­ing the Korean War, be­tween 1952 and 1953. He was a mem­ber of the Samp­son Air Force Base Veter­ans As­so­ci­ate, VFW Post #8276 in Del­mar, MD, and the Amer­i­can Le­gion Post #297 in Bal­ti­more, MD.

Jack was the owner and man­ager of the Golden Co­ral in Sal­is­bury, MD, which brought Jack and wife, Mary Anne, to the area. Jack was a 50+ year mem­ber of the In­de­pen­dent Or­der of Odd Fel­lows, 102 Blen­heim Lodge in Aberdeen, MD, and a life­time mem­ber of the Singerly Fire Com­pany in Elk­ton, MD.

Jack is survived by his lov­ing wife, Mary Anne Ter­rell; his two daugh­ters: Beth Ter­rell and her hus­band Den­nis New­man of Rem­sen­burg, NY and Dr. Louise Ter­rell of Mesa, AZ; his sis­ter, Bar­bara Bowls­bey of Elk­ton, MD; and three grand­chil­dren: Ian T. New­man, Sean T. New­man and Zachary T. New­man.

A fu­neral ser­vice will be held for Jack on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 28, 2 p.m. at the Elk­ton United Methodist Church, 219 E. Main St., Elk­ton, MD 21921. Friends and fam­ily may start vis­it­ing at 1 p.m. Burial will fol­low at the Elk­ton Ceme­tery.
