Calva B. Thomp­son, 97, a for­mer res­i­dent of Glen Farms, touched the hand of Je­sus on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 29, 2016. Born in Crump­ton, MD on Fe­bru­ary 12, 1919, she was the daugh­ter of the late Howard M. and Ellen H. Jones.

A home­maker, Mrs. Thomp­son was a mem­ber of Union United Methodist Church. She en­joyed tak­ing care of her home and fam­ily, bak­ing and read­ing

Sur­vivors in­clude her chil­dren, Fay Ellen Mor­gan, Elk­ton, MD, G. Keith Thomp­son and wife, Mary Ann, Ris­ing Sun, MD and Sharon T. Wil­liams and hus­band, Tom, Elk­ton, MD; grand­chil­dren Melissa F. Kline, Brian C. Mor­gan, Mickey K. Thomp­son, An­gela M. Cain and Scott T. Wil­liams and ten great grand­chil­dren.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, Mrs. Thomp­son was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band of 63 years, J. Leon Thomp­son Jr. and son-in­law, Jim Mor­gan.

Fu­neral ser­vice will be held 11 a.m., Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 2, 2016 at Hicks Home for Fu­ner­als, 103 W. Stock­ton Street, Elk­ton with visi­ta­tion be­gin­ning at 10 a.m. In­ter­ment will fol­low the ser­vice in Union Ceme­tery.
