— Eagle enthusiasts, rejoice. The Conowingo Dam will play host to the fourth annual Eagle Day at Fisherman’s Wharf & Park on Saturday.
The free event will spotlight birding and wildlife around the dam, with a live demonstration of birds of prey, a tree stump carving exhibition by artist Paul Waclo and a photo contest that pits a group of professional photographers in friendly competition with each other to capture the perfect eagle shot.
Visitors will also be welcomed to free drink and food, including burgers, brats, pulled pork and chicken. More than 10 wildlife and
nature organizations will put on demonstrations for all ages.
Parking and shuttle bus transportation will be available at the Conowingo Visitor Center, 4948 Conowingo Road, Darlington.
