Gen­er­a­tions of ser­vice hon­ored in Elk­ton Vet­er­ans Day cer­e­mony

— At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, dozens of vet­er­ans and cit­i­zens alike gath­ered down­town to honor the ser­vice and sac­ri­fice of the na­tion’s mil­i­tary.

It’s a scene that plays out each year on Vet­er­ans Day, but helped spe­cial sig­nif­i­cance this year as the Elk­ton Memorial Vet­er­ans of For­eign Wars Post No. 8175 cel­e­brates its 70th an­niver­sary with sev­eral gen­er­a­tions of ser­vice­men and women. Fol­low­ing the pomp and cir­cum­stance of the cer­e­mony, the post’s youngest mem­ber Car­son Wid­does, 22, took a mo­ment to talk with the post’s
