Stephanie “Stell” (Trush) Sclavos

Stephanie Trush Sclavos, age 89, passed away on Sun­day, Novem­ber 20, 2016.

Stephanie, known to her fam­ily and friends as “Stell”, was the daugh­ter of the late Phillip Trush and Mary Mali­nowski Trush.

Stephanie was a 1944 grad­u­ate of Ch­e­sa­peake City High School. Upon grad­u­at­ing she worked at Dravo Ship­yard as a clerk typ­ist. From 1945 to 1954, she was em­ployed at WiIming­ton Auto Sales(now W. H. Porter, Inc.) as a re­cep­tion­ist and clerk typ­ist. In 1954 Stephanie mar­ried John A. Sclavos and joined John, his sis­ter and their fa­ther in own­ing and op­er­at­ing the Glas­gow Arms Restau­rant in Ne­wark, DE.

Stephanie was a lov­ing and de­voted wife and mother. She was a kind and self­less per­son. She al­ways put the needs of oth­ers be­fore her own.

Stephanie is sur­vived by her chil­dren: Mary Ann Bil­son of Ris­ing Sun, MD, Catherine A. Stur­geon and fi­ance’ David M. Streets of Elk­ton, MD, Stephen C. Sclavos and his wife Brenda of Elk­ton, MD; sis­ter-in-law Mary S. Mur­phy of Ne­wark, DE; grand­chil­dren: Michael Bil­son, Anthony Bil­son, Jen­nifer Par­rish, Paul Sclavos,
