Eat a big plate of french toast To­day (Nov. 28) is the revered French Toast Day, which means we all need to do our part to cel­e­brate. Some­how, some­way, you need to find a way to eat some french toast. Ei­ther make it your­self or go some­where that will make it for you.

Go light the Holly Tree We’re at the time of year again. On Satur­day, Dec. 3, from 4 to 6 p.m., the Holly Tree light­ing cer­e­mony will take place, along with choral singing and a pa­rade.

If in­ter­ested in vol­un­teer­ing or per­form­ing Christ­mas mu­sic on stage, get in touch with Tr­ish Sexton at 443-553-2182.

Take a tour of Port De­posit A con­sid­er­able amount of his­tory trails the town of Port De­posit, and you have a chance to learn about it this week­end.

On Satur­day, from 12 to 5 p.m., tours will be given of the his­toric build­ings in the down­town area. Tick­ets cost $20 per per­son and pro­ceeds go to the up­keep and care of the lo­cal archives and the Paw Paw Build­ing on Main Street.
