Upper Bay Arts Festival offers mixed media creations
NORTH EAST — Jewelry, paintings, glassware, caricatures, beach glass and more were available at the Upper Bay Arts Festival held Saturday at McDaniel Yacht Basin.
Christie McDevitt, owner of North East Chocolates, was taking a break from her candy business.
“When it’s too hot for chocolates you do caricatures,” McDevitt said, pencils and chalks at the ready. “That’s my little summer marketing stuff.”
McDevitt was also pro- moting the North East Chamber of Commerce’s Unicorn Quest to be held Saturday, Aug. 12. She had two unicorn costume heads decorating her table. The quest will include lots of prizes and contests including Unicorn Races.
“It’s going to be weird and fun,” she said.
Michael Ciaramella from Media, Pa., offered his Cap Creations, which are designs made from bottle caps.
