Up­per Bay Arts Fes­ti­val of­fers mixed me­dia cre­ations

NORTH EAST — Jew­elry, paint­ings, glass­ware, car­i­ca­tures, beach glass and more were avail­able at the Up­per Bay Arts Fes­ti­val held Satur­day at McDaniel Yacht Basin.

Christie McDe­vitt, owner of North East Choco­lates, was tak­ing a break from her candy busi­ness.

“When it’s too hot for choco­lates you do car­i­ca­tures,” McDe­vitt said, pen­cils and chalks at the ready. “That’s my lit­tle sum­mer mar­ket­ing stuff.”

McDe­vitt was also pro- mot­ing the North East Cham­ber of Com­merce’s Uni­corn Quest to be held Satur­day, Aug. 12. She had two uni­corn cos­tume heads dec­o­rat­ing her ta­ble. The quest will in­clude lots of prizes and con­tests in­clud­ing Uni­corn Races.

“It’s go­ing to be weird and fun,” she said.

Michael Ciaramella from Me­dia, Pa., of­fered his Cap Cre­ations, which are designs made from bot­tle caps.
