State police arrest Earleville man on child porn charges
EARLEVILLE — Investigators raided an Earleville residence Wednesday morning and arrested a man who possessed hundreds of child pornography files, according to Maryland State Police.
Jason Marsh, 41, of Earleville, is charged with eight counts each of distributing and possessing child pornography, according to police.
Between June 5 and July 24, the Mar yland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force located hundreds of child pornography files online that were traced to an IP address belonging to Marsh. That led to the task force searching Marsh’s home Wednesday morning and arresting Marsh at the scene, police reported.
Following the search, forensic examiners analyzed Marsh’s computer and discovered several images and videos of child pornography, police reported.
The Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is comprised of police agen - cies from around the state, police said, explaining that its “primar y mission is to protect children from computer- facilitated sexual exploitation.”
