In Oc­to­ber 1955, the Ce­cil Demo­crat pub­lished two pho­to­graphs of the New Homemak­ers of Amer­ica Club as the Carver High School hosted a re­gional meet­ing of chap­ters from schools in Eas­ton, Den­ton, Ch­ester­town and Cen­tre­ville. — Mike Dixon
