Police trying to find missing Elkton woman
ELKTON — Investigators are trying to find an Elkton woman who vanished more than two months ago, but wasn’t reported missing until last week, police reported.
Kristie Sue Poff-Eastridge, 40, was last seen in the Elkton area “during the month of August,” according to the Elkton Police Department, which is handling the missing person investigation.
“She is a transient, homeless woman. There is nothing suspicious about her disappearance, as of now,” Andrew Tuer, sergeant of EPD’s special operations unit, commented on Wednesday morning.
A relative of Poff-Eastridge reported her missing on Nov. 1, police reported. EPD detectives posted a photo of PoffEastridge and information regarding her disappearance on the agency’s Facebook page on Tuesday, asking for the public’s help in locating her.
“Kristie has not contacted friends or family by phone or Facebook since that time (August),” EPD officials explain in the Facebook post.
Poff-Eastridge is described as being white with short reddish brown hair and hazel eyes, standing about 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds.
Anyone who knows Poff-Eastridge’s whereabouts or might have information that could help investigators locate the missing woman is asked to call EPD Det. Shannon Comley, lead detective, at 410398-4200, ext. 40, or email her at email@example.com.
