Po­lice try­ing to find miss­ing Elk­ton woman

ELK­TON — In­ves­ti­ga­tors are try­ing to find an Elk­ton woman who van­ished more than two months ago, but wasn’t re­ported miss­ing un­til last week, po­lice re­ported.

Kristie Sue Poff-Eastridge, 40, was last seen in the Elk­ton area “dur­ing the month of Au­gust,” ac­cord­ing to the Elk­ton Po­lice De­part­ment, which is han­dling the miss­ing per­son in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

“She is a tran­sient, home­less woman. There is noth­ing sus­pi­cious about her dis­ap­pear­ance, as of now,” An­drew Tuer, sergeant of EPD’s spe­cial op­er­a­tions unit, com­mented on Wed­nes­day morn­ing.

A rel­a­tive of Poff-Eastridge re­ported her miss­ing on Nov. 1, po­lice re­ported. EPD de­tec­tives posted a photo of Pof­fEastridge and in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing her dis­ap­pear­ance on the agency’s Face­book page on Tues­day, ask­ing for the pub­lic’s help in lo­cat­ing her.

“Kristie has not con­tacted friends or fam­ily by phone or Face­book since that time (Au­gust),” EPD of­fi­cials ex­plain in the Face­book post.

Poff-Eastridge is de­scribed as be­ing white with short red­dish brown hair and hazel eyes, stand­ing about 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weigh­ing about 170 pounds.
