The Shaking Ray Levi Society will host the puppet show, “Billy Goats Gruff and Other Stuff,” on Sunday night, Sept. 17, at Wayne-O-Rama.

In this one-man performance that uses hand, rod and glove puppets, David Stephens tells classic fairy tales as well as a few of his own originals.

The audience will see what happens when three billy goats try to cross a bridge belonging to a greedy troll in “The Three Billy Goats Gruff.” Parker Pig encounters some good luck when he stumbles over a watering can in a retelling of “The Three Little Pigs.” One of Stephens’ original stories, “The Two Farmers,” involves Farmer Frick and Farmer Frack and how they learn to work together to make a pot of stew.

Originally developed in 2001, this show is for children and their parents. The Center for Puppetry Arts hosted an eight-week run of more than 100 performances of this production in 2002. In 2005, the show received a Citation of Excellence from the Union Internationale de la Marionette.

Admission is free for the 6:30 p.m. performance, but there is limited seating. Children may bring floor mats for seating.
