Radio Control Club’s air show is Saturday
The Chattanooga Radio Control Club will hold its sixth annual Siskin Air Show on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. at Summit Field, 4223 Old Woodland Drive in Ooltewah.
At the high-flying event, club members put on an impressive air show with radio- controlled planes, high- performance jets, helicopters, quadcopters and more. Guests will be amazed at the gravity-de- fying stunts performed by large-scale models, and at turbine-powered jets that roar past at speeds up to 170 mph.
Kids and adults can also take a turn flying a radio- controlled plane alongside a club member in the buddy box.
“We are excited to partner with Siskin Children’s Institute for our air show supporting children with special needs and their families. It’s always fun introducing a new generation of kids to the hobby of flying radio-controlled planes,” says Tony Bosco, club member and event organizer.
To make the event more conducive to a family outing, admission is charged by the carload. For $ 10, families can pack as many people as is safe into their cars to attend the show for one group price.
Snacks and drinks will be available on-site. Bring cash since credit cards can not be accepted.
