Straw­ber­ries are the stars of Sun­day’s mar­ket

It’s all about straw­ber­ries Sun­day, June 3, when Chat­tanooga Mar­ket hosts the EPB Straw­berry Fes­ti­val in First Ten­nessee Pav­il­ion, 1826 Carter St.

Fresh straw­ber­ries will be in abun­dance with sev­eral re­gional farms en­sur­ing there will be straw­ber­ries ga­lore: Flat Top Moun­tain Farms, Hazel­rig Farm, Wat­so­nia Farms and Red Clay Farms. Vis­i­tors will also find other fresh pro­duce, such as peaches, ap­pear­ing as well.

Mar­ket ven­dors will j oin in the straw­berry theme with their own berry prod­ucts. For ex­am­ple, Miller’s Le­mon­ade will bring a straw­berry ver­sion, Daylilies will of­fer straw­berry salsa. There will be a berry-blend gra­nola from Nokes Gra­nola, and Bitler’s Bistro will of­fer four berry- fla­vored desserts. Sim­ply South­ern Bak­ery will have straw­berry breads and baked goods.

Since the day spot­lights Chat­tanooga Mar­ket spon­sor EPB Fiber Op­tics, vis­i­tors can pick up a blue re­us­able shop­ping bag at the EPB booth.

En­ter­tain­ing Sun­day’s vis­i­tors on the EPB Stage will be Ja­cob John­son at 12: 30 p. m. and Go­pher Broke at 2 p.m.
