You’re in­vited to JJ’s birth­day party

JJ’s Bo­hemia is turn­ing 12 this week­end and ev­ery­one is in­vited to the party.

A two-day birth­day bash is planned to mark the an­niver­sary. The party starts at JJ’s, 231 E. M.L. King Blvd., on Fri­day, Oct. 19, at 12:30 p.m. when SunSap, Be­hold the Brave, For­est Fire Gospel Choir and Stoned Cold Fox will play. Tick­ets are $10.

But the club pulls out the big guns for Satur­day’s Birth­day Blowout, with 12 bands in 12 hours. There will also be free beer from noon to 1 p.m.

Be­gin­ning at noon on Satur­day, Oct. 20, a new band will take the stage on each hour. Per­for­mances, al­though not in this or­der, will be given by Lew Card, Folk Killer, Tourist Trap, Pleezure Man­age­ment, Justin and the Cos­mics, Pinky Doo­dle Poo­dle, Hand­some Grand­sons, Cloak, Shakey’s Bad Knee, Dump­ster Ba­bies, Bo­han­nons and Mono­math.
