Chattanooga Times Free Press - Parade - - Personality -

In the movie Mary Shelley (May 25), Fanning plays the title role as the wife of 1800s British poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, in a troubled marriage of love, loss and betrayal that she ultimately channels into the writing of the classic novel Frankenstein.

“She was only 18, she had already left home, lost a child and was in a scandal,” says Fanning. “Her life was pretty tragic, but extraordinary.”
