A Bad Sign

Chattanooga Times Free Press - Parade - - PICKS -

The famous Hollywood sign in Grifwth Park, at the eastern edge of the Hollywood Hills, is said to be haunted by the ghost of a struggling young actress, Peg Entwistle, who committed suicide by leaping to her death from the top of the

H in 1932—just before the release of Thirteen Women, which marked her only wlm role. Nighttime visitors to Grifwth Park sometimes say they see visions of a woman in 1930s-era clothing roaming the trails around the sign—or plummeting from the top, only to vanish before reaching the ground.
