Footprints lead to arrests in school vandalism
The Dalton Police Department arrested four suspects for their roles in a burglary and vandalism at Christian Heritage School.
The suspects left the high school hallways covered in fire extinguisher foam, and they also left a trail of footprints and discarded fire extinguishers for officers to follow, leading to their arrest. All four suspects were charged with felony criminal trespassing, among other charges.
Smoke alarms went off in the school early Monday morning after 3 a.m. Officers discovered multiple sets of footprints left in the foam leading out of a back door. The officers followed the trail of footprints, discarded fire extinguishers and areas where fire extinguishers had been sprayed to the Beechland Circle area. A trail of footprints left in the grass led to the back of a vacant apartment unit at 1600 Underwood St.
Police entered the vacant apartment and found four men hiding inside a closet. The four arrestees were Lakwon Marquise Fleming, 20; Bryson Hunter Gallman, 20; Kaylub Kuhn, 18; and Joshua Ryan Brower, 17.
