Mellow’s got the full spread
Mellow Mushroom’s catering craze began over the holidays and never slowed, said LJ Knight, Mellow’s director of operations.
“People think about picking up a pie from us, but not as much picking up the full spread,” LJ said, in regards to why Mellow’s full service catering has only recently gained momentum.
Offering three simple, standard options, Mellow Mushroom’s catering menu focuses on what it does best: pizza, hoagies and salads. Clients may choose between a full pizza buffet, a full hoagie buffet or a half-and-half buffet. They may also add salads and drinks to complete the spread.
“We do a lot of office catering, and lots of lots of family reunions,” LJ said.
And the only thing Mellow loves more than parties? Puppies. Which is why both its locations’ patios are not just open to pets, but enthusiastic about them.
“Of course, we prefer dogs that love pizza,” LJ said. But, he added, Mellow has plenty of bite-sized snacks to please all the pups. “Pepperonis, pretzel bites, bits of cheese, for example,” he laughed, all sorts of snacks to sneak under the table for those four-legged friends.
After all, with such famous pizza and hoagies, why should humans get to be Mellow’s only participants? Next time, why not plan for the whole pack?
