Man charged in fatal DUI head-on crash
An Alabama driver in the DUI head-on crash that killed a teen in May has been indicted.
AL.com reported that a Cullman County grand jury indicted 27-year-old Bradford Neal Meeks on charges of reckless murder, DUI, unsafe lane change, driving on the wrong side of the road, violating the state’s open container law and third-degree assault. Authorities announced his arrest Tuesday evening.
Fifteen-year-old Curtis Wilson was a passenger killed when the SUV driven by his mother collided with Meeks’ car on May 7.
It’s unclear if Meeks has a lawyer. His bond is set at $150,000. Court records show Wilson’s mother, 43-year-old Ashley Wilson, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Meeks in civil court in May.
