2017 was a year of transition for the photo staff at the Chattanooga Times Free Press. In May, we said a sad goodbye to longtime shooters Angela Lewis Foster and Dan Henry. We were able to welcome back two former interns, Erin Smith and Cody Schmelter. Smith coming to us from the Gainesville (Ga.) Times and Schmelter from the Jackson (Tenn.) Sun. Through all the ups and downs, the staff put together an impressive body of work, and we hope you enjoy this selection.
