See something? Then say something, now!

It is such a shame that our country is going the wrong way. We have shootings in malls, schools, concerts and drive-by shootings. What do people do about it? They close their doors and don’t tell the police what they saw for fear of retaliation against their families or friends. And on it goes until the next major shooting happens, then everyone has a prayer vigil to feel better about it.

Well, people, that is not going to help the victims or their families who have to bury their loved ones. Arming teachers is not going to help, either. Teachers are there to teach, not to carry guns. Either open your mouths if you see something wrong or one day it may be your child in school or family member shopping at the mall. Don’t hide behind closed doors.

And, if all these thugs want to shoot guns, then bring back the draft. Then they will learn the right way and their pants won’t be below their read ends, either. Elaine Maloney Rossville, Ga.
