is the 2011 Vale­dic­to­rian of Chero­kee County High School. She has a 4.5 GPA and a cu­mu­la­tive av­er­age of 101.7. She is grad­u­at­ing with an ad­vanced di­ploma with Ad­vanced Place­ment en­dorse­ment. Her par­ents are Doug and Cathy Davis. She has one sis­ter, Tori. She is a mem­ber of the Beta Club, Leo Club, FFA, Span­ish Club, FBLA, Math and Science Club, and Year­book Staff. She is the Beta Club Chap­lain and has been a class of­fi­cer each year. She has earned All A’s and high­est av­er­ages in all core classes each year. She at­tended the Alabama Youth Lead­er­ship Pro­gram and was a mem­ber of the Youth Lead­er­ship Chero­kee. She was voted Who’s Who “Best All Around” by her Se­nior Class. She has let­tered in both bas­ket­ball and soft­ball for the past six years. In bas­ket­ball, she was se­lected All-County and All-Area the past 3 years, Team Cap­tain the past 2 years, Of­fen­sive MVP the past 2 years, and 2010 MVP Area Tour­na­ment. Dei­dra is an ac­tive mem­ber of Cen­tre First United Methodist Church. Af­ter grad­u­a­tion she plans to pur­sue a col­lege de­gree in Sec­ondary Ed­u­ca­tion.

is the salu­ta­to­rian for the Chero­kee County High School Class of 2011. Chris has main­tained a 4.5 G.P.A. gpa through­out his high school ca­reer and is a mem­ber of the Beta Club, the FBLA, the FFA, Leo Club, and the Span­ish Club. He was nom­i­nated for Beta Club pres­i­dent and is a cur­rent pres­i­dent of the FBLA. He has par­tic­i­pated in sev­eral plays for the Theatre of Cen­tre in­clud­ing the Mir­a­cle on 34th Street and Smokey Joe’s Café. He is the son of Tina and Ran­dall Wood. Chris has re­ceived awards for main­tain­ing the high­est av­er­age in sev­eral classes such as English, Chem­istry, Phys­i­cal Science, and South­ern Writers. Chris also com­pleted all the busi­ness cour­ses at the Chero­kee County Ca­reer and Tech­nol­ogy Cen­ter. He plans to at­tend the Univer­sity of Alabama to ma­jor in English.

is the son of Alan Bene­field. He will grad­u­ate as an honor stu­dent from Chero­kee County High School. Dy­lan is a mem­ber of Beta Club, Span­ish Club, FBLA, and FFA; he also par­tic­i­pated on the CCHS track team. Dy­lan is a mem­ber of Lit­tle River Bap­tist Church. Upon grad­u­a­tion, Dy­lan plans to at­tend Gads­den State Com­mu­nity Col­lege.

is the son of Tracy and Suzanne Bishop. He will be at­tend­ing Auburn Univer­sity in the fall of 2011 and will pur­sue a de­gree in Bio­med­i­cal Sci­ences. He later plans to ap­ply for phar­macy school at Auburn and be­come a phar­ma­cist. He has been a mem­ber the Beta Club for four years, the Leo club, and a mem­ber of the CCHS ten­nis team for four years.

is the daugh­ter of Tim and Ju­lia Doyle. Vir­ginia will be grad­u­at­ing 20th in her class. She plans to at­tend col­lege at Troy Univer­sity in Troy, Alabama to which she has been awarded a full tu­ition schol­ar­ship for four years, where she plans to study mu­sic ed­u­ca­tion. Vir­ginia has been a mem­ber of the CCHS band for seven years and plans to con­tinue par­tic­i­pat­ing in the band pro­gram at Troy.

is the son of Tim and Pam Burgess. He has two brothers, Eric (15) and Kyle (11). Brett, se­lected to the class 4A All-State foot­ball team in 2009, has played foot­ball and base­ball four years. He was voted pres­i­dent of his se­nior class and is a mem­ber of the Beta Club, SGA, FFA, and FCCLA. A mem­ber of Cedar Bluff First Bap­tist Church, af­ter grad­u­a­tion Brett will be at­tend­ing Snead State Com­mu­nity Col­lege on a base­ball schol­ar­ship where he will pur­sue a de­gree in ed­u­ca­tion.
