MR. DEN­NIS BRADLEY BELL

Mr. Den­nis Bradley Bell, 44, of Leesburg, passed away Mon­day, Nov. 7, 2016 at his res­i­dence.

Brad be­gan his love of law en­force­ment as a Cor­rec­tions Of­fi­cer at Chero­kee County De­ten­tion Cen­ter.

He was an ac­tive mem­ber of the Com­mu­nity Emer­gency Re­sponse Team.

He went on to be­come a Chero­kee County Deputy and most re­cently was a mem­ber of the Hays Prison Fam­ily in Trion, GA as a cor­rec­tions of­fi­cer. He shared his love of law en­force­ment with all those he knew and loved.

Grave­side ser­vices were held Fri­day, Nov. 11, 2016, at Shep­ard Ceme­tery with the Rev. Daniel McGatha and Bishop Daryl Gooden of­fi­ci­at­ing. Perry Fu­neral Home Di­rect­ing. www.per­ry­fu­neral.net.

Mr. Bell leaves be­hind his loving wife of 17 years, Kather­ine Anne Shad Bell;, sons Den­nis B. Bell Jr. of Cen­tre, Zachary Bell, An­thony Hulsey, Austin Hulsey all of Leesburg; daugh­ters, Sarah (Matthew) Hunkapiller of Cal­houn, Bri­anna Bell, Madi­son Bell all of Leesburg; and one grand­daugh­ter. He is also sur­vived by his par­ents, David and Cindy Tay­lor of Cen­tre, Den­nis and Sharon Bell of Tal­lapoosa, GA; brothers Brent (Kris­ten) Tay­lor of Cedar Bluff, and Matthew Bell of Tal­lapoosa, Ga. and sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

Mr. Bell was pre­ceded in death by his ma­ter­nal grand­par­ents Har­ri­son and He­len Key.

He was also pre­ceded by his pa­ter­nal grand­par­ents, Ruby and Harvey Bell, and beloved cousin Caleb Key.

MR. JOSEPH “LUTHER L.” DAW­SON

Mr. Joseph Luther “Joe L” Daw­son, 66, of Ft. Payne, passed away Satur­day, Nov. 5, 2016, at his res­i­dence.

Mr. Daw­son was born Nov. 4, 1950, in Trion, GA, the son of the late Wil­lie and Grace Rutledge Daw­son.

He was re­tired as a Sergeant First Class with the United States Army hav­ing served in Viet­nam.

Fu­neral ser­vices were held Thurs­day, Nov. 10, 2016, from the Ma­son Fu­neral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dar­riel Thompson of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment was held at Georgia Na­tional Ceme­tery in Can­ton, Georgia, with full mil­i­tary honors.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife, Deb­o­rah Daw­son; chil­dren, Joe and Kristy Daw­son, Jr., Bobby and Kimmy Daw­son, Kelly Daw­son, An­thony Dear­ing; sis­ters, Wilma and James Bur­rage, Nilma Bur­rage, Martha Daw­son; and five grand­chil­dren.

Mr. Daw­son was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents, Wil­lie and Grace Rutledge, brothers, Franklin Daw­son, Wes­ley Daw­son, and Gene Daw­son.
