DeKalb De­ten­tion Cen­ter brings mu­si­cal Christmas to in­mates

Over the last 10 years, the DeKalb County De­ten­tion Cen­ter has pro­vided a mu­si­cal Christmas play for the in­mates.

This sea­son, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease from DeKalb County Sher­iff Jimmy Har­ris, about 167 in­mates at the DeKalb County Jail re­ceived a sur­prise bless­ing from the 45 mem­bers of the Nazareth Baptist Church choir along with Robert Reed, mu­sic min­is­ter and Pas­tor Ja­son Bell on De­cem­ber 15.

The choir put on a mu­si­cal Christmas play and also Pas­tor Bell de­liv­ered a spe­cial mes­sage. This is the 9th time that Nazareth Baptist Church has come to the Jail and blessed them with this mu­si­cal Christmas play, Sher­iff Har­ris said.

Sher­iff Har­ris said he is proud of the mem­bers of his church for tak­ing time out of their Hol­i­days to bring such a bless­ing to the men and women in the jail who can­not go on their own to church.
