U.S. Mar­shals ar­rest 3 af­ter long in­ves­ti­ga­tion

Ac­cord­ing to Chero­kee County Sher­iff Jeff Shaver, Sher­iff’s Of­fice in­ves­ti­ga­tors, Al­co­hol, Tobacco and Firearms Agents, and Deputy U.S. Mar­shals, ex­e­cuted war­rants on three in­di­vid­u­als from the El­lisville com­mu­nity on Thurs­day, Jan. 19, 2017.

Two sus­pects, Terry W. Wright, 49, and Eric D. Lewis, 50, were ar­rested at a res­i­dence on Chero­kee County Road 14. The third sus­pect, Clif­ford A Wright, 33, was ar­rested just in­side Floyd County, Ga., ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease from Sher­iff Shaver.

Both Terry and Clif­ford Wright were taken into fed­eral cus­tody on fed­eral grand jury in­dict­ments for felon in pos­ses­sion of a firearm.

They were ar­rested last year on drug charges, and those cases are still pend­ing., the press re­lease stated. Sher­iff Jeff Lewis was trans­ported to

Shaver the Chero­kee County De­ten­tion Cen­ter on sev­eral war­rants re­gard­ing pro­ba­tion vi­o­la­tions, ac­cord­ing to the press re­lease.
