U.S. Marshals arrest 3 after long investigation
According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Sheriff’s Office investigators, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Agents, and Deputy U.S. Marshals, executed warrants on three individuals from the Ellisville community on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017.
Two suspects, Terry W. Wright, 49, and Eric D. Lewis, 50, were arrested at a residence on Cherokee County Road 14. The third suspect, Clifford A Wright, 33, was arrested just inside Floyd County, Ga., according to a press release from Sheriff Shaver.
Both Terry and Clifford Wright were taken into federal custody on federal grand jury indictments for felon in possession of a firearm.
They were arrested last year on drug charges, and those cases are still pending., the press release stated. Sheriff Jeff Lewis was transported to
Shaver the Cherokee County Detention Center on several warrants regarding probation violations, according to the press release.
