Murder case bound over to Grand Jury
The case against a man accused of murdering his own mother has been bound over to a Grand Jury.
On Monday, April 3, Cherokee County District Court Judge Wes Mobley ruled on the case against Larry Bodily, 48, who is charged in the death of Karen Willmon, 68.
The search for Willmon began earlier this winter after she was reported missing by friends and family members, according to reports.
Since his arrest Feb. 19, Bodily has been held in the Cherokee County Detention Center on $500,000 bond.
An Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences preliminary autopsy report showed that the victim died from multiple gunshot wounds and blunt force trauma to the head, reports said.
