Class 1A Boys
CULLMAN — Cole Grace finished first in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 41.53 seconds. He also took third in the 400 meter dash (53.13) and fifth in the 110 meter hurdles (16.77) to lead the Cedar Bluff boys track and field team to 12th place in the Class 1A boys state track and field meet in Cullman over the weekend.
The Tigers earned a total of 23 points. Westminster of Oak Mountain finished first with 110 points, followed by Marion County with 103 points. Isabella was third with 77 points.
The Tiger 4x100 meter relay team took seventh (49.68). Cameron McDaniel finished eighth in the 800 meter run (2:13.94) and 21st in the 400 meter dash (59.29). Noah Flynt finished 18th in the javelin (107’9”). Tre Stitts took 20th in the long jump (15’8 ¼”) and Ambre Leek finished 21st in the 300 meter hurdles (50.26). state track and field meet in Cullman over the weekend.
Brett Jackson came in 11th in the javelin (135’1”). The Wildcat 4x400 meter relay team was 13th with a time of 3:54.13. Ethan Callentine came in 13th in the 110 meter hurdles (19.76). Kade Stimpson finished 15th in the triple jump (36’8 ¾”). Isaac Williams came in 17th in the shot put (37’7”) and Justin Renfroe finished 21st in the 110 meter hurdles (21.90).
Overall, the Wildcat boys were 23rd in the team standings after earning three points. Cold Springs finished first with 97 points, followed closely by St. Bernard (96) and LaFayette (94).
