CULLMAN — Cole Grace fin­ished first in the 300 me­ter hur­dles with a time of 41.53 sec­onds. He also took third in the 400 me­ter dash (53.13) and fifth in the 110 me­ter hur­dles (16.77) to lead the Cedar Bluff boys track and field team to 12th place in the Class 1A boys state track and field meet in Cullman over the week­end.

The Tigers earned a to­tal of 23 points. West­min­ster of Oak Moun­tain fin­ished first with 110 points, fol­lowed by Mar­ion County with 103 points. Is­abella was third with 77 points.

The Tiger 4x100 me­ter re­lay team took sev­enth (49.68). Cameron McDaniel fin­ished eighth in the 800 me­ter run (2:13.94) and 21st in the 400 me­ter dash (59.29). Noah Flynt fin­ished 18th in the javelin (107’9”). Tre Stitts took 20th in the long jump (15’8 ¼”) and Am­bre Leek fin­ished 21st in the 300 me­ter hur­dles (50.26). state track and field meet in Cullman over the week­end.

Brett Jack­son came in 11th in the javelin (135’1”). The Wild­cat 4x400 me­ter re­lay team was 13th with a time of 3:54.13. Ethan Cal­len­tine came in 13th in the 110 me­ter hur­dles (19.76). Kade Stimp­son fin­ished 15th in the triple jump (36’8 ¾”). Isaac Wil­liams came in 17th in the shot put (37’7”) and Justin Ren­froe fin­ished 21st in the 110 me­ter hur­dles (21.90).

Over­all, the Wild­cat boys were 23rd in the team stand­ings af­ter earn­ing three points. Cold Springs fin­ished first with 97 points, fol­lowed closely by St. Bernard (96) and LaFayette (94).
