Deputies ap­pre­hend flee­ing sus­pect

Chero­kee County Deputy Thomas Key and Deputy Hunter Brisendine at­tempted to serve ar­rest war­rants for Ryan J. Robert­son, at a res­i­dence on High­way 273 on July 26, 2017. The sus­pect fled on foot from the res­i­dence and the deputies quickly ap­pre­hended him.

Robert­son, 35 of Lees­burg, was wanted for fail­ure to ap­pear on two counts of un­law-

ful pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance, un­law­ful pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia, and en­tic­ing a child. Robert­son was also charged with at­tempt­ing to elude, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease from Chero­kee County Sher­iff Jeff Shaver.

Sher­iff Shaver said the sus­pect was trans­ported to the Chero­kee County De­ten­tion Cen­ter where he awaits bond.
