Lions passing offense vs Bears pass defense

-

The Bears probably sent Calvin Johnson some nice retirement gifts, but they won’t get a reprieve against the Lions’ pass catchers this week. Marvin Jones is off to a hot start to his Lions career with a league- leading 408 receiving yards. Golden Tate has been quiet, but the Bears know full well what he can do in the middle of the field. The ageless Anquan Boldin has two touchdown catches already and Eric Ebron is an effective tight end. Matthew Stafford is completing 67.5 percent of his passes through three games, well above his career average. The Bears are coming off losses to back- to- back rookie quarterbacks and Stafford is well acquainted with playing at Soldier Field. The pass rush did nothing to rattle Dak Prescott last week and the corners too often gave Cowboys receivers more than enough room to make plays. The Lions have more than enough playmakers and the signal- caller to attack a Bears ‘ D’, especially if the pass rush stays grounded.
