Man shot while riding in vehicle on Bishop Ford
A man was shot early Wednesday while riding in a vehicle on the Bishop Ford Freeway on the Far South Side.
Four men were in a vehicle heading south on I- 94 near 111th Street about 1: 30 a. m. when a black Nissan pulled up alongside and someone fired multiple shots into the driver’s side of their vehicle, according to Illinois State Police.
A 22- year- old man sitting in the back left passenger seat was shot in the right hand and had non- lifethreatening injuries, police said. The other three men in the car — ages 25, 23 and 31 — were not injured.
Two of the men in the vehicle are documented gang members, police said.
The shooter’s black Nissan had front- end damage and orange tape on a rear window, police said.
