POLICE SHOOTING SUSPECT SPOUTS EXPLETIVES AT JUDGE
In a fiery first court appearance Thursday, the man suspected in the fatal shooting of an Orlando police officer told a judge he wanted to represent himself against a slew of charges stemming from the shooting death of his pregnant ex- girlfriend before he defiantly leveled several curses at the judge overseeing the hearing.
“I’m not finished talking because y’all been making up ( expletive) the whole time,” said the bandaged 41- year- old Markeith Loyd as he made his first appearance before a judge at the Orange County Jail Complex in Orlando.
Loyd is suspected of killing Orlando Police Lt. Debra Clayton during a Jan. 9 confrontation at a Walmart in Orlando. Clayton was promoted posthumously to lieutenant.
