Bears re- sign Prosin­ski, bring back Wil­son

The Bears re- signed safety Chris Prosin­ski, who has started six games and has been a stal­wart on spe­cial teams the last two sea­sons, to a oneyear con­tract.

They also agreed to terms with de­fen­sive line­man C. J. Wil­son, his agency said on Twit­ter. Wil­son played in six games and made one start last sea­son. Fi­nan­cial terms weren’t im­me­di­ately avail­able.

TheNewYork Jets signed for­mer Bears backup quar­ter­back Josh McCown to a one- year con­tract worth a re­ported $ 6 mil­lion guar­an­teed.

The New York Gi­ants signed for­mer Jets quar­ter­back Geno Smith to a re­ported one- year, $ 2 mil­lion con­tract to back up Eli Man­ning.

The Oak­land Raiders signed for­mer Buf­falo Bills quar­ter­back E. J. Manuel to an undis­closed con­tract to back up Derek Carr.
