Rendon (oblique) iffy for Opening Day

Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon sat out for the third consecutive day because of soreness in an oblique muscle. Manager Joe Maddon said it’s unclear whether Rendon, who signed a seven-year, $245 million contract with the Angels during the offseason, will be ready for Opening Day on Friday.
