Notre Dame will play 10 ACC games

-

Notre Dame will play in the Atlantic Coast Conference this season as part of a plan to play 10 league games and one nonconference game starting the week of Sept. 7, alterations brought on by the pandemic.

The ACC will eliminate its traditional divisional format this season and the two teams with the best winning percentages in conference play will meet in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the league title game.

The Irish are scheduled to play Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Louisville and Syracuse at home, and face Boston College, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Wake Forest on the road, plus one nonconference game of their choosing.

The Rutgers football team coronavirus outbreak reportedly was linked to an on-campus party. Fifteen players have tested positive for COVID-19.
