Don­cic’s hero­ics lift Mavs

Luka Don­cic made a step-back three-pointer at the buzzer to cap a Her­culean ef­fort on a sprained an­kle, and the Mav­er­icks out­lasted the Clip­pers 135-133 in over­time Sun­day to even their first-round se­ries at two games apiece in the NBA bub­ble in Or­lando, Florida.

Don­cic, who had suf­fered the an­kle in­jury in the Clip­pers’ vic­tory in Game 3, had 43 points, 17 re­bounds and 13 as­sists to help the Mav­er­icks over­come the ab­sence of Kristaps Porzingis (knee).

Lou Wil­liams scored 36 points and Kawhi Leonard 32 for the Clip­pers.

Jazz 129, Nuggets 127

In the first game in NBA play­off his­tory in which two play­ers scored 50 or more points, the Jazz and Donovan Mitchell (51) got the best of the Nuggets and Jamal Mur­ray (50) to grab a 3-1 lead in their firstround play­off se­ries.

Mitchell was 15-for-27 from the field, in­clud­ing four three-point­ers, and 17-for-18 from the line. Mur­ray was 18-for-31 from the field, in­clud­ing nine three-point­ers, and 5-for-5 from the line. Mur­ray also had 11 re­bounds.

Celtics 110, 76ers 106

Kemba Walker scored 32 points, and the Celtics com­pleted a sweep of their first-round se­ries against the 76ers. The sweep was the first in 15 play­off-se­ries meet­ings be­tween the teams.

Jayson Ta­tum added 28 points and 15 re­bounds for the Celtics. Joel Em­biid led the 76ers with 30 points and 10 re­bounds.

Rap­tors 150, Nets 122

Nor­man Pow­ell and Serge Ibaka came off the bench to score 29 and 27 points, re­spec­tively, and the de­fend­ing cham­pion Rap­tors over­came the loss of Kyle Lowry (foot) in the first quar­ter to steam­roll the Nets and fin­ish a first-round sweep.
