Nuggets win Game 7
Nikola Jokic made the tiebreaking basket with 27 seconds left, and the Nuggets completed a comeback from a 3-1 series deficit by edging the Jazz 80-78 on Tuesday in Game 7 of their first-round matchup in the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida.
After a series in which the Nuggets’ Jamal Murray and the Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell each scored 50 or more points twice, Jokic came up big with 30 points and 14 rebounds. Murray added 17 points for the Nuggets, who will play the Clippers in the Western Conference semifinals.
Mitchell had 22 points and Rudy Gobert 19 points and 18 rebounds for the Jazz, whose rally from a 19-point deficit came up just short.
• Jayson Tatum scored 34 points, and the Celtics used a 29-9 burst spanning the third and fourth quarters to turn a 12-point deficit into an eight-point lead on their way to a 102-99 victory against the Raptors that gave them a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference semifinal series.
Marcus Smart added 19 points, including five three-pointers in the fourth quarter, Kemba Walker 17 and Jaylen Brown 16 against the Celtics, who are 6-0 in the playoffs. OG Anunoby led five players in double figures with 20 points for the Raptors.
