2 games behind the Bears and Vikings

The Lions looked to be in good shape before the Seahawks pounded them at home in Week 8, followed by their trip to Minnesota last week where the Vikings ransacked Stafford. With two games against the Bears plus the Panthers and Rams over the next four games, things could spin out of control for first-year coach Matt Patricia. The Lions haven’t won a division title since 1993, the second-longest drought in the NFL behind the Browns (1989). The Lions’ run defense ranks 30th, and Patricia fired special teams coordinator Joe Marciano this week. Still, the Lions are only two games back and remain in the race despite being in the basement.
