Mango Turmeric Lassi Smoothie

A cross be­tween yo­gurt and a smoothie, this In­dian-orig­i­nated bev­er­age is at once sweet yet sa­vory, light but oh-so sat­is­fy­ing.

2 cups cubed frozen mango

11∕2 cups full-fat plain yo­gurt or co­conut yo­gurt 2 tsp ground turmeric 1∕8 tsp ground car­damom + ad­di­tional for gar­nish Pinch ground black pep­per 1 tbsp pure maple syrup or raw honey, op­tional

1. In a blender, add 2 cups wa­ter and all in­gre­di­ents; blend un­til smooth.

2. Pour into glasses and gar­nish each with a sprin­kle of car­damom. (If stor­ing, pour into Ma­son jars for an easy grab-and-go snack or break­fast.)

TIP: Aside from drink­ing straight up, this lassi is per­fectly paired with your fa­vorite gra­nola and berries, tossed in chia seeds for a quick pud­ding, or in a smoothie bowl with fruit, nuts and seeds of your choice.
