SCARPA FORCE V WOMEN’S

MULTI-PITCH ROMPEROO

Climbing - - GEAR BIG REVIEW -

Our tester, newly returned to the sport after a long layoff, appreciated the flat last (good for her bunions), ample toebox, and all-day comfort of Scarpa’s performance all-arounder the Force V Women’s. Out romping on multi-pitch moderates, she noted, “Wearing a comfortable shoe is key to this experience, and I found the Force V Women’s to be well-suited for the job. I took the shoes up the Flatirons, the Bastille Crack, and Dome Rock where they were sensitive and responsive throughout.” Slightly asymmetrical, the shoes have a 1mm Lexan midsole, 4mm XS Edge rubber, supple suede upper, “lightly charged” V-Tension rand, and bomber double Velcro closure. $130, scarpa.com
