Here’s Johnny! Jack Nicholson announces his first film in seven years. Susan Lucci is eager for an All My Children reboot.
Susan Lucci would love to bring her legendary soap opera diva Erica Kane back to life for a whole new version of All My Children. When the Daytime Emmy–winning actress’ former castmates recently reunited on the Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family, which she was guest co-hosting, they all spoke of their desire to work together again. “Everyone said they would be willing and able to pick up where the show left off,” Debbie Matenopoulos, who co-hosts with Mark Steines, divulges to Closer. “If Netflix were to offer them a second chance, they would do it in a heartbeat.” Agrees Mark, “The way they looked at each other, they long for that connection again.” For her part, Susan,
70, reveled in her chance to catch up with old friends: “Doing that reunion was a treasure,” she says. As she keeps her fingers crossed for an AMC reboot, she’s keeping busy with several projects, including participating in Celebrity Autobiography onstage in New York City. “We read from other celebrities’ autobiographies,” she tells Closer, “and they are hysterical!”
