Michael York

Sandman Logan took up Jessica’s search for a sanctuary. But Michael, 74, found a place in over 200 parts

on the stage, on TV shows from Knots Landing to Gilmore Girls and

in the Austin Powers movies. His most important role lately has been in raising awareness of his organ

disease, amyloidosis.

Jenny Agutter

Though fugitive Jessica’s time was running short, Jenny, 64, has had a long career, moving from movies

like An American Werewolf in London and Captain America: The Winter Soldier to British TV. She currently plays Sister Julienne on the PBS import Call the Midwife.

Heather Menzies

Heather, 67, slowly walked away from the biz after playing runner Jessica 6. The actress (best known as Louisa in The Sound of Music) made the cult pic Piranha and appearances

on TV’s Vega$ with husband Robert Urich before concentrating on raising three kids. After his death in 2002, she started the Robert Urich Foundation for Cancer Research and Patient Care.

Gregory Harrison

After his role as Sandman Logan 5, Gregory certainly didn’t rest. Not only did he play Gonzo on Trapper John M.D., but Greg, 66, was also in over 70 series and TV movies, from Falcon Crest and Rizzoli & Isles to Hallmark’s Au Pair and Signed, Sealed,

Delivered pics.

In the 1976 movie and on the shortlived ’77 TV series (below), fugitive runners tried to escape police known as

Sandmen in a future where no one is allowed to live past age 30.
