NO HOLSTER = NO BRAINS
Hollywood blockbusters are good for one thing: sensationalism. Watch just about any “shoot ‘em up” flick and, chances are, you’ll see a character shoving a gun in his waistband. But again, it’s Hollywood, and those blockbusters are purveyors of entertainment—not education.
Running your gun without a holster is a recipe for disaster and, to be honest, shooting off some of your crucial parts or watching your gun fall out and slide across the pavement are two things I do not ever want to experience. Then again, it’s a reminder that when we exercise our right to bear arms, attached to it is the awesome responsibility to be safe and to exercise good judgment at all times, which is something seldom seen in Hollywood.
Like it or not, each mistake with a weapon reflects not on the individual but on gun owners as a whole, and we all have to do our part to take care when handling, carrying and shooting a weapon.
