Concealed Carry Hand Guns - - THE ARMORY -

As the name suggests, this compact 9mm single-action is designed specifically for concealed carry applications. When it launched in 2010, the Slim already faced stiff competition in the crowded carry gun market, but Taurus set itself apart by offering features found on some of the top guns in this class at a bargain price.

Like so many other guns on this list, the Slim combines a lightweight polymer frame with a steel slide, but its slide and frame design, with all its avant-garde geometry, helps keep weight down and makes it easy to conceal the gun because it doesn’t have the squared-off edges that scream, “I’m carrying!” to everyone you pass on the street. With a 3-inch barrel, this gun measures 6 inches long, 4.5 inches high, an inch wide and weighs in at 19 ounces, placing in right in the heart of the competition in terms of overall size. The three-dot sights are adjustable (rear) and the grip offers horizontal texturing lines that are comfortable to hold and keep the gun planted in recoil.

Safety features on this firearm include a manual safety, trigger safety, a loaded chamber indicator that offers both visual and tactile status indication and the Taurus Safety System that allows you to render the gun inoperable with the turn of a key. It’s certainly one of the best values in the single-stack market.
