01. RUGER SP101 RE­VOLVER NOW IN 9MM

Ruger is now of­fer­ing its sturdy SP101 stain­less steel five-shot re­volver in 9mm. This re­volver fea­tures a 2.25-inch bar­rel, black ramp front sight and rear groove rear sight. It comes with a cush­ioned, black rub­ber grip with plas­tic in­serts for a re­coil-ab­sorb­ing se­cure hold. Like all Ruger dou­ble-action re­volvers, this new SP101 fea­tures Ruger’s patented trans­fer bar mech­a­nism to pre­vent an ac­ci­den­tal dis­charge and a triple-lock­ing cylin­der for strength. The SP101 can be taken down into its ma­jor sub-as­sem­blies with­out spe­cial tools, mak­ing for easy main­te­nance. In­cluded are three full-moon clips that each hold five car­tridges for speedy reloads and to fa­cil­i­tate ejec­tion of the spent cas­ings. The re­volver has an over­all length of 7.2 inches and weighs 25 ounces un­loaded.

02. SPRING­FIELD AR­MORY’S XD-E NOW IN .45 ACP

Last year, Spring­field Ar­mory in­tro­duced the XD-E, a ham­mer-fired dou­ble-action/ sin­gle-action (DA/SA) pis­tol in 9mm. Now the small, poly­mer-frame pis­tol is avail­able in .45 ACP. The slim, sin­gle-stack pis­tol is just 1 inch wide and fea­tures a 3.3-inch bar­rel. The pis­tol’s low-ef­fort slide pur­port­edly of­fers 27 per­cent eas­ier ma­nip­u­la­tion. Like the

9mm be­fore it, the new .45 has an ex­posed ham­mer and am­bidex­trous man­ual safety/ de­cocker. The pis­tol comes with a steel com­bat rear sight and a high-vis­i­bil­ity fiber op­tic front sight. The XD-E .45 weighs just 23 ounces empty. The pis­tol comes with one six-round magazine and one ex­tended, seven-round mag.

04. REX ZERO PIS­TOLS NOW AVAIL­ABLE WITH A NICKEL FIN­ISH

Arex Rex Zero pis­tols are now be­ing of­fer­ing with a highly cor­ro­sion-re­sis­tant nickel fin­ish. The Fime Group, which im­ports the pis­tols, will have the Rex Zero 1S full-size and Rex Zero 1CP com­pact mod­els with this fin­ish. You will have the op­tion of mod­els with nickel-plated frame, slide and bar­rel with black chrome hard­ware, or mod­els with a nick­eled slide only. The Rex Zero 1S is a 9mm pis­tol with a 17-round ca­pac­ity and a 4.25-inch bar­rel. It weighs 29 ounces with­out the magazine. These mod­els will fea­ture a new con­tour to the grip. 06. BOND ARMS IN­TRO­DUCES UNIQUE BULLPUP 9MM

Bond Arms has been known pri­mar­ily for its dou­ble der­ringer pis­tols. Now the com­pany has un­veiled the Bullpup 9, a 9mm semi-auto in a bullpup con­fig­u­ra­tion (with its action to the rear of the trig­ger group.) The com­pact de­sign al­lows for pis­tol with a 3.35-inch bar­rel that’s only 5.1 inches long over­all. A very in­ter­est­ing thing about this de­sign is that the pis­tol strips each car­tridge in turn back­wards off of the top of the magazine as the slide moves back­wards and then cham­bers the round as the slide moves forward. The action of the Bond Arms Bullpup 9 is dou­ble-action only with a trig­ger pull of about 7.5 pounds. It has drift-ad­justable, dove­tailed three-dot sights and en­graved rose­wood grips. It weighs 17.5 ounces. In­cluded are two seven-round mag­a­zines.

07. TRUGLO NOW MAKES NIGHT SIGHTS FOR CANIK PIS­TOLS

Truglo is now of­fer­ing its Tri­tium Pro night sights for the Canik TP9 se­ries of semi-au­to­matic pis­tols. The sights, which never need bat­ter­ies, are made with Swiss tri­tium and are as­sem­bled in the U.S. The front sight has a white ring around the tri­tium insert for fast sight ac­qui­si­tion. The rear sight fea­tures a U-notch, and the front of the sight is shaped so that it can be em­ployed in emer­gency one-handed ma­nip­u­la­tion of the slide. The sights fit well in the dove­tails on the Canik slide. Ad­di­tion­ally, a set screw on the rear sight keeps it se­curely in place. The sights are avail­able through Cen­tury Arms, which is the U.S. im­porter of Canik pis­tols, or through Truglo.
